Download Universal sound card Driver

latese free sound card , free sound card, sound card driver for windows xp,sound card driver download, creative sound card driver, realtek sound card driver
yamaha sound card driver, sound driver, enter sound card driver, intex sound card driver

We can Listening to audio from a computer system requires a sound card. In order to make the sound card actually work, you also need a sound card driver. Although some Windows computers have a large amount of drivers already installed, you'll still have to verify whether it's the correct driver for your sound card.
Interface
Discrete sound cards are available in ISA and PCI models, although ISA cards are a vanishing breed and are increasingly hard to find. All recent embedded sound adapters use PCI. The much smaller bandwidth of ISA limits ISA cards in many respects, including generally requiring that wavetable data be stored locally, placing an upper limit of about 16 on simultaneous sound streams, and making effective 3D audio support impossible. The first PCI audio chipsets that emerged in the mid-90s were quite expensive, but current PCI cards are generally less expensive than ISA cards with similar functionality, primarily because they require little on-board memory.
Synthesis type
FM synthesis is no longer used in current sound cards. All current midrange sound cards use wavetable synthesis, and some expensive sound cards use partial waveguide synthesis. The quality and features of wavetable synthesis vary depending on both the processor and the quality and size of the wavetable samples, with more expensive cards producing better synthesis, as you might expect.
Channels
Each MIDI interface supports 16 channels, each corresponding to one instrument. Low-end sound cards use a single MIDI interface, allowing up to 16 instruments to play simultaneously. Midrange and some high-end sound cards provide dual MIDI interfaces, allowing 32 simultaneous instruments. Some high-end sound cards, such as the Creative Labs SoundBlaster Live! Platinum, use a triple MIDI interface, which allows up to 48 simultaneous instruments. In general, 16-channel cards are suitable for most uses, 32-channel cards are useful for playing MIDI instrumentals realistically, and 48-channel cards are necessary only for the most complex MIDI environments
Frequency response
The range of human hearing is usually stated as 20 Hz to 20 kHz. All current sound cards nominally support this range or close to it, which is in fact required for PC 99 compliance. However, few cards state ± dB for that range, which specifies how flat the frequency response curve is. A good card may have frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz at 3 dB down. A professional-level card may have frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz at 1 dB down. Inexpensive cards may claim frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, but that range may turn out to be stated at 10 dB down or some similarly absurd number, which in effect means that actual usable frequency response may be something like 100 Hz to 10 kHz.
SoundBlaster
SoundBlaster compatibility, formerly a sine qua non for any sound card, is now largely immaterial except to those who still use DOS software, including DOS games. True SoundBlaster compatibility requires fixed IRQ, I/O port, and DMA assignments, whereas PCI cards are assigned resources dynamically. Within those constraints, all Creative Labs sound cards and most competing cards boast (nearly) full SoundBlaster compatibility. If you still use DOS applications, though, it's worth verifying whether real-mode drivers are available for a sound card before you purchase it.

Change IP Address Manually

How to change your IP address in less than a minute? The following trick gives you a step-by-step procedure to change your IP address.

1. Click on “Start” in the bottom left hand corner of screen.
2. Click on “Run”.
3. Type in “command” and hit ok.You should now be at an MSDOS prompt screen.
4. Type “ipconfig /release” just like that, and hit “enter”.
5. Type “exit” and leave the prompt.
6. Right-click on “Network Places” or “My Network Places” on your desktop.
7. Click on “properties”.

You should now be on a screen with something titled “Local Area Connection”, or something close to that.

8. Right click on “Local Area Connection” and click “properties”.
9. Double-click on the “Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)” from the list under the “General” tab.
10. Click on “Use the following IP address” under the “General” tab.
11. Create an IP address (It doesn’t matter what it is. I just type 1 and 2 until i fill the area up).
12. Press “Tab” and it should automatically fill in the “Subnet Mask” section with default numbers.
13. Hit the “Ok” button here.
14. Hit the “Ok” button again. You should now be back to the “Local Area Connection” screen.
15. Right-click back on “Local Area Connection” and go to properties again.
16. Go back to the “TCP/IP” settings.
17. This time, select “Obtain an IP address automatically”.
18. Hit “Ok”.
19. Hit “Ok” again.
20. You now have a new IP address.

Some ISPs do not support this type of procedure and hence there are chances of getting back the same old IP address even after trying

this hack.In this case you need to switch off the modem and then switch it on to get the new IP address.

NOTE: All these tricks works only if you have a dynamic IP address. But if you have a static IP address you have no option to change your IP.

Remove Linux Restore MBR

First of all you need to know where your Linux OS is installed to. that is what drive it is currently living on. Bear in mind that Linux formats the drive as HFS rather than Fat/Fat32 or NTFS. ( These are the file systems used by various Operating Systems).

So HFS Partitions are not seen by windows, so its hidden.

To remove the partitions of Linux in WindowsXP go to your 'Control panel' > Admistrative Tools > Computer Managment

Open 'Disk Management' and you will see your Linux drives recognised as 'Unknown Partition' plus the status of the drive. Bearing in mind you know what partition and disk you installed to it will be easier to recognise as the drive/partition where you had installed it to.

Once you have identifed the drives, 'right-Click' on the drive/partiton and select 'Delete Logical Drive'

Once you have followed this through, you will now have free space.

This next part is very important. Once you have formatted the drive, re format it as your required file system type. either Fat32 or NTFS. Now the important part is coming up !

Fixing your Master Boot Record[MBR] to make Windows Bootable again.

Have a Windows Boot disk with all the basic DOS Commands loaded on to the disk. A standard Windows 98/Me Boot Disk will work too.

Type in the DOS command :

e.g, from your C:\

fdisk /mbr

Or use your Windows XP run the recovery console, pick which xp install you would like to boot in to (usually you will pick #1)

then type: fixmbr. Answer Y to the dialoge.

Your master boot record will now be restored and Windows XP will be bootable once again. Your System will be restored with your original boot loader that you got with Windows XP.

Convert fat fat32 to ntfs File System,

open a dos prompt and give the command

convert d: /fs:ntfs
this command would convert your d: drive to ntfs.
if the system cannot lock the drive, you will be prompted to convert it during next reboot.
Normally you should select yes.

Conversion from fat/fat32 to ntfs is non-destructive, your data on the drive will NOT be lost.
Be aware that converting to ntfs will make that partition of your
drive unreadable under dos unless you have ntfs utilites to do so.

Better hard drive, Ntfs Cluster Size

Cluster is an allocation unit. If you create file lets say 1 byte in size, at least one cluster should be allocated on FAT file system. On NTFS if file is small enough, it can be stored in MFT record itself without using additional clusters. When file grows beyond the cluster boundary, another cluster is allocated. It means that the bigger the cluster size, the more disk space is wasted, however, the performance is better.

So if you have a large hard drive and don't mind wasting some space, format it with a larger cluster size to gain added performance.

The following table shows the default values that Windows NT/2000/XP uses for NTFS formatting:

Drive size
(logical volume) Cluster size Sectors
----------------------------------------------------------
512 MB or less 512 bytes 1
513 MB - 1,024 MB (1 GB) 1,024 bytes (1 KB) 2
1,025 MB - 2,048 MB (2 GB) 2,048 bytes (2 KB) 4
2,049 MB and larger 4,096 bytes (4 KB) 8
However, when you format the partition manually, you can specify cluster size 512 bytes, 1 KB, 2 KB, 4 KB, 8 KB, 16 KB, 32 KB, 64 KB in the format dialog box or as a parameter to the command line FORMAT utility.

The performance comes thew the bursts from the hard drive. by having a larger cluster size, you affectively have a larger chunk of data sent to ram rather than having to read multiple smaller chunks of the same data.

Internet Explorer Keyboard Shortcuts

Internet Explorer is full of many new features . On the internet it has its reputation as Firefox killer ! Featuring : Tab Scrolling , Web Search Box , More Speed, etc.

Hide Folder

This is a cool trick which you can use to keep your private folders secret from the intruding eyes other users. Suppose you a some private documents in a folder and you made it hidden but it doesn't give you assurance that your folders will be hidden from others. If after someone enable "Show hidden files and folders" from Tools->Folder Options..->View tab, he can easily discover your private folder.

But just imagine if he can't even find the "Folder Options.." in Tools in menubar?
Here is the way to do it:

1. Go to start then in run type regedit

2. After opening new window go through following
HKEY_CURRENT_ USER\Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\ Explorer

3. Double click Explorer then there is "NoFolderOptions" [without quotes] option on right panel double click it and set it to 0 [zero in number] in Hexadecimal.

4. Oh, so you can't see "NoFolderOptions" on the right panel? No problem. Right click

Go for this one:

1. run -> gpedit.msc
2. User Configuration
3. Administrative template
4. Windows Component
5. Windows explorer
6. In right panel, double click on"remove folder option menu item from tools menu"
7. Select 'disable' -> apply
8. ok

Remote Desktop in Windows 7

In this tutor we guide you, how to allow Windows 7 and Windows Vista Based systems to Enable and test the remote desktop systems.

Though the facility exists in these operating systems it is disabled in it by default(Vista buisness and enterprise editions are exceptions). The procedure to enable in both 7 and Vista are same.

Step by step procedure to Enable Remote Desktop
Step 1. Right-click Computer in the Start menu and then select Properties.
Step 2. Click Remote settings in the Tasks list on the left side of the System window.
Step 3. Select Allow connections from computers running any version of Remote Desktop if computers connecting to it will only be from within a local network or are running versions of Windows other than 7 or Vista.

Note: Here select Allow connections only from computers running Remote Desktop with Network Level Authentication if computers connecting to it will connect from the internet or all computers connecting will be Windows 7.
Step 4. Click OK to save your changes.

Note: If you’re using the Windows Vista firewall, Remote Desktop will automatically be allowed through it. If you’re using another firewall, you’ll need to open port 3389 to allow Remote Desktop connections.

Selecting Remote Desktop Users

If you have a user account(s) that do not have administrative credentials and you want to use to log in when connecting with Remote Desktop, follow these instructions.

Note: All user accounts with administrative rights are automatically allowed to log in using Remote Desktop.

1. Open the Remote tab in the System Properties window (see instructions above).
2. Click the Select Users button in the Remote tab of the System Properties window.
3. Click Add in the Remote Desktop Users window.
4. Click the Advanced button in the Select Users window.
5. Click the Find Now button.
6. Select the user you want to add to the list of users able to log in with Remote Desktop and then click OK.
7. Click OK in the Select Users window.
Note: Make sure the user you’ve just added is in the object names box.
8. Click OK in the Remote Desktop Users window.
9. Click OK in the System Properties window.

Recover Corrupted System File

If an essential Windows file gets whacked by a virus or otherwise corrupted, restore it from the Windows CD. Search the CD for the filename, replacing the last character with an underscore; for example, Notepad.ex_. If it's found, open a command prompt and enter the command EXPAND, followed by the full pathname of the file and of the desired destination: EXPAND D:\SETUP\NOTEPAD.EX_ C:\Windows\NOTEPAD.EXE. If either pathname contains any spaces, surround it with double quotes.

If the file isn't found, search on the unmodified filename. It will probably be inside a CAB file, which Win XP treats as a folder. Simply right-drag and copy the file to the desired location. In other Windows platforms, search for a file matching *.cab that contains the filename. When the search is done, open a command prompt and enter EXTRACT /L followed by the desired location, the full pathname of the CAB file, and the desired filename; for example: EXTRACT /L C:\Windows D:\I386\Driver.cab Notepad.exe. Again, if the destination or CAB file pathname contains spaces, surround it with double quotes.

Make Clone a Hard Drive

Did know that you could clone your current Hard Drive without having to by extra software? Maybe you didn't know that all that you needed, was already set up on your current system? Well, it is... and if you follow this tut, you shouldn't have much of a problem.

Make sure that you have a Master and a Slave setup on your system. The Slave drive, in this case, is where all the data on the Master is going to go to.

First: Perform a Scandisk your Master drive and follow that with a thorough Defrag. If you have an Antivirus program, do a thorough sweep with the AV first, then do the Scandisk, followed by the Defrag.

Second: Do the same thing to the target drive, as you did the Master: Scandisk then a thorough Defrag.

Third: Right-click on the Target drive and click on Format. When the box comes up, click your mouse onto the "Full" button.

Fourth: After Formatting the Target drive, run a Scandisk again and click on the button that says "Autofix Errors".

Fifth: In this final part, you might want to cut-and-paste to code in, unless you are sure that you can do it without making any mistakes:

Click on the "Start" button, then click on the "Run..." button, then place the following into the Runbox:

"XCOPY C:\*.*D:\ /c/h/e/k/r" (minus the quotes, of course) then press the "Enter" button.

If you receive an error message, then remove the space from between XCOPY and C:\

Anything that should happen to come up in the DOS box, just click "Y" for "Yes". When its all finished, pull the original Master from the system, designate the Slave as the Master (change your jumpers), then check your new Master out.

This tut has worked and has been tested on all systems except for Windows 2000, so you really shouldn't have any problems. If, by any chance, you should come across a snag, message me and I'll walk you through it.

Recover Damaged CD

I learn an old technique to how to recover damaged or scratched disks
with some lost of data. Here we cover some special technique of how to create a full working CD from the scratched one.

First some tools will be needed:

1. Alcohol 120%
2. UltraISO
3. Windows XP/2000 (not tested on 95/98/me)
3. Small piece of cotton
4. Dry cleaner paper
5. Finally, oil for cooking.

First step - preparing the CD

Get the cotton and drop some water, start cleaning vertically the surface of CD.
Do it 3 times and dry the water with a piece of dry cleaner paper. With a new piece
of cotton, drop some oil for cooking and start to wet the surface like you are
washing the CD with the oil. Dry carefully now. Some particles of oil will stay on the
micro surface of the scratch. It's okay. Seems the oil helps the laser of the CD/DVD driver
to read the surface again. Sure this will work with small unreadable scratchs - some hard
scratches loose parts of the surface of the CD where we have data and it's lost forever.
But if it is loosed try anyway. With this tip 80% of the small scratched CD's could be
recovered.

Second Step - testing the CD

With Alcohol 120% make an ISO - image making wizard - and lets see if the app can
read the loosed surface. In my case Alcohol 120% had recovered 60% of the data.
This is not enough. Have tryed other appz, they do not recover all the data. But the
CD/DVD driver laser CAN recover all data in this case. the data is still there, what we do?

Third step - making the new CD

With the main copy system of windows explorer you can do it. Just create one folder
with the same name of the CD label for future burn reference, and copy the CD content
to the folder. When the CD copy process find the scratch, in majority of the cases, it's
slow down the reading and will recover ALL loosed data.If not, it just tell you there's
an unreadable sector. In this case your CD is lost. But it's not my case, finally
windows explorer got all the data from the scratch and made a copy in the folder.
with the ultraISO, wrote the original CD label, drop the content of the folder and
save as Iso. You can Test the new CD just mounting the iso in the Alcohol 120%. In my
case i did ISO of the two discs from MAX PAYNE 2 and tested installing from the mounted
ISO. Works like a charm. I got the 4 mb lost again. So, I have burned the CD and now i
have a working copy from the scratched one.

Sounds too bizzarre, but works. Course you can jump the cleaning process and try to copy
the content with Windows explorer. But in my case did not work without oil...

BIOS Beep Code Definition

When power turn on, most computer system will first executing Power On Self Test (POST). If POST encounters any errors, it will generate beep tones (via the functioning chassis speaker), known as BIOS beep code, to alert the operator.

Different manufacturers might define different BIOS beep code definition. It is better to consult respective manufacturer for precise BIOS beep code definition.

Most of the BIOS beep code of an IBM compatible PC are related to random access memory (RAM) or central processing unit (CPU).

RAM related problems could be due to faulty RAM chip or improper RAM contact with RAM slot.
  1. Disconnect power cord from power supply.
  2. Unplug the RAM module carefully.
  3. Clean the contact with non-static cloth.
  4. Restore the RAM module carefully to the slot firmly.
  5. Power on to perform POST testing again.
  6. If that doesn't work, replace a known good RAM to eliminate RAM possibility.
CPU related problems could be due to a faulty CPU, overheat, or improper CPU contact with CPU slot.
  1. Disconnect power cord from power supply.
  2. Unplug the CPU with care.
  3. Blow away dust found in the CPU heat sink and slot with a blower. Don't blow by mouth to prevent moisture accumulated within the contacts!
  4. Restore CPU to the slot with care.
  5. Power on the computer system for POST testing again.
