Aero Star Large Route Bus Incorporating Latest Safety Technologies

April 2011, the automatic transmission equipped Aero Star has demonstrated its unique performance on various road surfaces. The driving routes serviced by Hakone Tozan Bus cover approximately 25 kilometres of roadway between Odawara Station, Sengoku and Togendai, which include a mixture of urban areas, hills and approximately 60 bus stops. Many of the accidents that occur inside buses happen when passengers fall as a result of the force generated when a manual transmission bus takes off. The new Aero Stars operated by Hakone Tozan Bus are able to stop safely at the many bus stops located on hilly roads and also minimize the sudden jolting that usually occurs when manual vehicles begin accelerating from a stop.
Another benefit of the automatic transmission is that the driver can focus all his attention on driving without having to worry about complex gear shifting operations. This is especially helpful on Hakone’s hairpin curves and roads so narrow that there is little room to maneuver when passing oncoming vehicles. Safe, stable driving is a must in Hakone, and Hakone Tozan Bus’ new T310-equipped Aero Stars are the perfect solution.In addition to safety and stability, Allison automatic transmissions can reward Hakone Tozan Bus with cost-efficient fuel consumption comparable with a manual, especially when reduced maintenance costs are added to the equation.
According to Hakone Tozan Bus officials, the manual transmission buses operated by their company had fuel consumption of between 2.75 km and 2.87 km per litres of fuel; based on results to date, the new buses equipped with Allison automatic transmissions can travel 2.79 km on a litre of fuel. From a maintenance perspective, the costs to overhaul and replace parts on a manual transmission bus are expected to exceed the same costs for an automatic transmission bus.

Katsumi Minagi, Chief Mechanic at Hakone Tozan Bus, said, “With the manual transmission buses, the clutches had to be overhauled – replacing discs and bearings, etc. – about once every five years, and sometimes the transmission would fail and have to be replaced. In contrast, the only maintenance that has to be done on the automatic transmission buses is to periodically change the gear oil and filters and to conduct a single overhaul in the transmission’s 12-year life cycle. Also making the automatic transmission attractive is that we no longer need to spend time adjusting the clutch. We periodically replaced the gear oil of the manual transmission buses, but the buses equipped with Allison automatic transmissions feature a prognostic device that displays in advance when the transmission oil needs to be changed, so we are able to replace the oil at the proper time.”Teruhisa Nagata, Training Director and a driver at Hakone Tozan Bus, said of the new buses, “In recent years, many new drivers from a variety of backgrounds have joined the company, and we’ve seen a greater influx of new employees who aren’t familiar with the Large Vehicle Class 2 Driver’s License. The new automatic transmission buses are the ideal vehicle for these drivers because the buses provide excellent stability and a smooth drive even on bad roads. These new buses have even gained a good reputation among our veteran drivers because they are easier to drive and reduce driver fatigue.”

Water Less Washing Machine

The Xeros washing machine, which takes its name from the Greek word for “dry”, cleans clothes using reusable nylon polymer beads with an inherent polarity that attracts stains.
The beads are added to the wash along with as little as a cup of water and a drop of detergent. After the water dissolves the stains, the beads, which become absorbent under humid conditions, soak up the water along with the dirt. The dirt is not just attracted to the surface, but is absorbed into the center of the beads.
The beads are removed automatically within the machine at the end of the load so there’s no need for the user to worry about separating the beads themselves. They also don’t require cleaning and can last for about 100 loads or laundry, or about six months of average family usage.Since the Xeros doesn’t require a rinse or spin cycle the it uses just 2% of the energy of conventional washing machines, cutting CO2 emissions on top of the water savings. The energy savings are further enhanced by the fact that the clothes come out nearly dry, meaning no power-hungry clothes dryer is required. Xeros claims that, taking all these factors into account, its machine achieves a 40% reduction in carbon emissions over conventional washing and drying.

The technology was developed by researchers at Leeds University who have established a spin-off company called Xeros Ltd to market the technology.The most common cause of a washing machine not taking any water in is either a kinked fill hose or the tap becoming faulty whereby you switch it on but the valve inside doesn't turn. Another common cause is the tap getting accidentally switched off and people not realising. Other causes can be wiring faults, water valve faults or programme control faults. This advice was originally written when most washing machines were hot and cold fill and didn't have error codes. It's now been updated to reflect the fact that these days the vast majority of washing machines are cold fill only and should give an error code if they can't take in water.

New 1.2 Liter T-GDi Engine produce about 120 bhp

This comes with a displacement of 1,248cc and makes us of direct injection, as well as turbocharging in its aim to increase efficiency. The four-cylinder units also uses four valves per cylinder, but the automotive producer hasn’s offered the specs for the unit, so we don’t know what its hp and torque rating is. The reason for the same is the small car tax rules in India. The engine displacement limit for small cars is 1200 cc while the displacement of the 1.2 T-GDi engine is 1248 CC. It is a possibility that Hyundai may reduce the displacement for Indian version,

There is another more interesting point about google drive is when you open your drive page, there is a default view which show all your Docs work and uploaded files in rough alphabetical order, with folder-like “collections” first. Why would anyone want to look at their files in alphabetical order? Because the way Google sees it, they’re not really your files, and they’re only in loose structures, and you should just think of what you want to look at and retrieve it.

Google Drive will also take advantage of advanced features such as smart tagging and image recognition. For example, Google will automatically recognize objects and people in the images users upload. The next time the user enters those search terms, their own images will pop up, without the user having to manually tag them. Google Drive users can even open up to 30 different types of files straight from a web browser, whether or not the necessary software is installed on the computer they're currently using.

What is DTSI Engine

DTSI stands for Digital Twin Spark Plug Ignition. The vehicles with DTSI Technology use twospark plugs which are controlled by digital circuit. It results in efficient combustion of air fuel mixture. Digital twin spark ignition technology powered engine has spark plugs at either sides of the combustion chamber. Engines powered by DTSI technology will have greater combustion rate because of twin spark plugs located around it. DTSI technology enables the engine to combust fuel at double rate than normal, this enhances both engine life and makes it fuel-efficient i.e. better as regards mileage.Aside of making the engine fuel efficient, the technology also enriches the power of the bike. The technology also results in smoother operation, adjusts the engine to varied temperature fluctuations and makes the motorbike resistant too breakdown. HY-KERS hybrid system for upcoming Enzo successor

This system uses two electric motors: one coupled to the transaxle; the other at the front of the engine to run the vehicle’s auxiliary systems. Both electric motors are connected to the batteries, which can be mounted in the vehicle based on space requirements and configuration.



Ferrari says the KERS system is designed to increase vehicle power while reducing emissions—up to 40 percent for the European cycle. The technology has trickled down from Formula 1 racing and is said to optimize torque management, traction control, and brake distribution to increase the car’s handling and acceleration abilities.


The transaxle-mounted KERS motor delivers power to one of the two main shafts via one of the gearbox clutches for continuous power delivery and acts as a generator by recovering kinetic energy during braking to recharge the batteries. The KERS motor’s function is controlled by an F1-derived engine management system. The automaker claims that it is close to achieving the 1 kW (1.34 hp) of power per 1 kg (2.2 pounds) of weight target for the system’s weight.
