Meebo acquires by Google - $100million deal

Meebo is a social media stand. Meebo was formed in 2005 with a motive of instant messenger; it can connect to AIM and Yahoo! Messenger. Ahead Meebo developed a Meebo bar which applied on various site through which user can chat at any site. It has also developed Meebo application for iPhone. In June, 2012 Google has takeover Meebo as a division of Google+. Now Meebo is closing all his service except Meebo bar. Meebo had more than 250 million visitors. As per news Meebo will discontinued its service from July, 2012.

Meebo was formed to engage consumers via social media, to assist publisher and advertisers. Google has acquired Meebo with 100 million dollar to help its Google+. Now Meebo engineers will work with Google and integrate Google service with Meebo. Now using Meebo Google can implement chat option with other platforms that will determine the user engagement. Google will have option to find high quality advertising and rich-media.

Meebo has gained $25million in last financial year 2010 and so far it made to $60 million. Google has taken a sharp step in acquiring Meebo with advancing span of social media. Another reason Meebo has covered half of the U.S internet population. Meebo can build profile of individual with full of interested content and person can share his content to his friends and relatives. Meebo can join you to social sites like MSN, Yahoo!, AOL/AIM, MySpace, Face book, Google Talk and many others.
