Wipro Moves To Creat Global Leadership Pool

Now the technologies of wipro are going to take major new steps to strengthen its leadership resources pool, with the base of employee crossing 1.3 lakh and with positive ambitions to diversify globally. There will be 100 middle management employees who will constitute its second line of leadership. Next year, it will hire 100 people overseas, who will be trained to take on global leadership roles. T K Kurien, CEO of Wipro's IT business said that the 100 identified were from all across the organisation from the past few months. But now we are looking for the people who must have the ability to energized and execute the people. The hundred selected will be groomed over the longer term. "The idea is to make them really good in what each of them is doing," Kurien said.

Saurabh Govil, head - HR, Wipro, said that the programme is designed to identify both the members who is currently qualified, or can be qualified for employment in the software industry with training. They will be used in roles of software test engineers and technical or customer support.
